Goodwork is a US-based healthcare recruitment marketplace connecting clinicians โ€” nurses, HAs, allied health professionals and support staff โ€” with hospitals, private healthcare groups and care providers across the country. As their placement volume grew, the tools they were using to manage recruitment simply could not keep up.

Recruiters were managing candidate pipelines across a combination of spreadsheets, email inboxes, a basic ATS that didn't support healthcare-specific compliance, and WhatsApp. There was no single view of where each candidate was in the process. Chasing compliance documents was entirely manual. Interview scheduling lived in individual calendars with no central oversight. Good candidates were being lost โ€” not because they weren't interested, but because nobody followed up at the right moment.

The founder came to us with a clear brief: build a recruitment platform that works the way healthcare recruitment actually works โ€” with HIPAA compliance, right-to-work checks, licence tracking and offer management all built in, not bolted on.

Why US Healthcare Recruitment Is Different

Placing healthcare workers in the US requires a specific compliance framework โ€” state RN/LPN licence verification, DEA registration, BLS/ACLS certifications, right-to-work documentation, occupational health clearance and HIPAA-compliant data handling. Generic recruitment software doesn't understand any of this. Goodwork needed a platform that spoke healthcare from the ground up.
